Delete your Riya account

You can delete your account and its data at any time — in the app, or by email if you can't use the app.

Option 1: In the app

1. Open Riya and sign in.
2. Tap your companion's name at the top of the chat, then Settings.
3. Tap Delete account (at the bottom).
4. Read the note and tap Delete account to confirm.

Your account is deleted straight away and you're signed out.

Option 2: By email (no app needed)

1. Send an email to riyaapp@proton.me with the subject "Delete my account".
2. Send it from the Google email address you sign in with, so we can confirm it's your account. If you can't, tell us the email address and we'll ask a few questions to confirm it's you.
3. We'll delete the account and reply to confirm, within 7 days.

What gets deleted

• Your account and sign-in record
• All your chats with your companion, including reactions
• Everything she remembers about you, your reminders and follow-ups
• Your voice recordings and her voice notes to you
• Your settings, Controls choices, notification tokens and safety records
• Your subscription status on our side

If you use more than one of our apps with the same sign-in, deleting your account in one app deletes that app's data, and your sign-in record is removed when you no longer use any of our apps.

Deleting is permanent and can't be undone.

When

Data is removed from our live systems immediately when the deletion completes. Any remaining copies in backups are removed within 30 days. Apple, Google and our subscription provider (RevenueCat) keep their own records of purchases under their own terms.

We may keep a minimal record only if the law requires it. For example, Indian law requires us to keep limited security and activity logs (not your messages) for up to one year. Records about purchases that Apple or Google keep for tax purposes are held by them, not us.

Your subscription

Deleting your account does not cancel a Premium subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, so please cancel in:

• iPhone: Settings → (tap your own name) → Subscriptions
• Android: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions

Want to keep your account but remove some data?

Open Controls in the app (the button at the top of the chat) to forget individual memories, turn memory off (which erases saved memories), or switch off health memory. These don't delete your chat history; only deleting your account does.
