Help & Support

Need a hand? Write to us at riyaapp@proton.me. Please send it from the email you sign in with, and tell us what phone you use (iPhone or Android). We usually reply within 2 working days.

If you're in crisis or in danger, please don't wait for an email — call your local emergency number or a helpline: India Tele-MANAS 14416 · US 988 · UK Samaritans 116 123 · Canada 9-8-8 · Australia Lifeline 13 11 14 · Japan よりそいホットライン 0120-279-338.

Memory: see what she remembers, or make her forget

Tap the Controls button at the top of the chat. (It's also in Settings: tap your companion's name at the top of the chat, then Settings → Controls.) There you can:

You can also just tell her in chat: "forget that" or "yeh bhool jao".

Forgetting a memory doesn't delete your chat history. To remove everything, delete your account (below).

Notifications

Go to Settings → Notifications (tap your companion's name at the top of the chat, then Settings) to turn notifications on or off in your phone settings. Reminders, check-ins and follow-ups can be switched off one by one in Controls (the button at the top of the chat).

Premium

Cancel your subscription

Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google, so you cancel them in the store, not in the app:

Premium keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription.

Restore purchases

New phone or reinstalled the app? Sign in with the same Google account, open Settings → Premium, and tap Restore purchases. Make sure your phone is signed in to the same Apple ID or Google Play account you bought with.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by the store: Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, Google Play through your Order history. See our Terms of Use for details.

Delete your account

In the app: tap your companion's name at the top of the chat, then Settings → Delete account, and confirm. This deletes your account, your chats and everything your companion remembers. It can't be undone.

Can't open the app? See Delete your account for how to ask us by email.

Report a reply

If something your companion says or sends feels offensive, harmful or wrong, please report it: press and hold her message, then tap Report. You can also email riyaapp@proton.me with a screenshot. We review every report and use them to improve her safety rules.

Safety and crisis protocol

Your companion is an AI, not a person, and not an emergency, medical or counselling service. Here is how the app responds when someone may be thinking about suicide or self-harm:

  1. Detecting it. Every message is checked by an automated safety classifier for signs of suicidal thoughts, self-harm or danger, in English, Hindi, Hinglish and Japanese.
  2. Clear signs. The normal conversation pauses and the companion replies with a caring message. It names the crisis line and emergency number for your region, for example India Tele-MANAS 14416 / 112, US 988 / 911, Canada 9-8-8 / 911, UK Samaritans 116 123 / 999, Australia Lifeline 13 11 14 / 000, Japan よりそいホットライン 0120-279-338 / 119. It also encourages you to reach out to someone you trust.
  3. Unclear signs (like "I feel like disappearing"). She gently checks what you mean and always mentions your region's helpline.
  4. Afterwards. She may check in once in your next conversation, then only if you bring it up again. She keeps replying even if you've reached your plan's message limit.
  5. What she won't do. Her safety rules stop her from encouraging self-harm or giving information about ways to hurt yourself.
  6. Privacy. Crisis details are never saved to memory and never appear in notifications. We keep only a short safety record.
